You don’t get any more Italian than Tiberio. Born in Rome, Ty was taught the art of authentic Italian cooking from both his mother and other native artisans. In the interest of honing his culinary craft, Ty frequently makes return visits to his native Italy. However, it is the patrons of his current home in the Hudson Valley that reap the benefits of his transcontinental schooling. Ty has managed to duplicate the flavorful aromas of an authentic Roman kitchen using the fresh organic herbs grown in the gardens of his community. Tiberio is more than just a chef. His dishes transcend far beyond the typical definitions of food, rather they encompass a deeply ingrained knowledge of nature, as well as respect for all that food has to offer: health, self awareness, peace, love and passion! With degrees in nutrition from Dutchess County, and having attended the prestigious Culinary Institute, Tiberio has chosen to share his knowledge of whole foods and nutrition, not only through his recipes, but also through the classes he offered at the Omega Institute and the restaurants he has owned. His Kingston based Ambrosia was the first vegetarian eatery of its kind in the Hudson Valley. His long list of accomplishments sets Tiberio apart in culinary circles, however, it is his commitment to solely serving the highest quality organic and locally grown products that put him in a class by himself. He believes that a healthy diet rich with the pure simplistic yet rich flavors that nature itself has to offer is the key to a healthy and happy lifestyle.
