Featuring The Campbell Brothers, Alexis P Suter, The Robert Hill Band and More!
Sway to the groove, sip on a crisp cold cider and sink your teeth into summer. Stone Ridge Orchard kicks off the season with a live blues review starring legendary and favorite New York State-based blues musicians, featuring The Campbell Brothers, Alexis P Suter and The Robert Hill Band. To accompany the music, there's food available from Hudson Valley staple, The Grille Wagon. Feast on an abundance of mouth-watering smoked BBQ favorites like pulled pork sandwiches, brisket, BBQ chicken, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, and a host of other delectable dishes with ingredients sourced locally.
Headlining the show will be the legendary Campbell Brothers, an American Sacred Steel gospel group from Rush, New York. The Campbell Brothers are comprised of three brothers and a son. The ensemble features prominent pedal steel guitarist Chuck Campbell and his brother Darick on lap steel. Before signing with Ropeadope Records, they released several albums for Arhoolie Records. Their album “Can You Feel It?” reached #26 on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart.
Ushering in a soulful sunset, is Brooklyn native, Alexis P Suter. The award-winning musician, the vocalist will grace the stage with a selection of songs from her extensive six-album catalog. In 2005, Suter signed with Hipbone Records, and released her debut album, Shuga Fix. A sousaphone player and church singer since the age of four, Alexis was the first African American woman signed to Epic/Sony Records.
Opening the show will be The Robert Hill Band. Hill is an award-winning songwriter, soulful vocalist, and master guitarist. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, Robert now calls New York home, where he performed with the “Bluescians” and then eventually formed his own band featuring original material. Three of his songs, “My Corner, “Angelina,” and “Another Chapter,” have all won international songwriting competitions.
